The fourth NAAN talk series was facilitated by NAAN IPP Mr. Pashupati Koirala on the topic “Climate Change Adaptation and Approach in Nepal”. The main objective was to aware people about Climate Change Adaptation and approaches implemented in Nepal. The event was partly funded by ASHA(Adaptation for Smallholders in Hilly Areas) Organization who work on climate change adaptation and approach in Mid-western region of Nepal.

Pashupati Nath Koirala is the founder of the organization and has been present since the beginning.  He is a professional forester. He holds double Master’s Degree from Wageningen University, The Netherlands in Forest and Nature Conservation and Sociology from Tribhuvan University.

The discussion was focused on the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change Adaptation support programme in Nepal and How Nepal is contributing for mitigation and adaptation in Nepal.  During interaction, Nepalese perspectives for the climate change adaptation and its opportunities from the developed world had much been discussion among various multi stakeholder representatives.  Professionals and various government representatives were actively involved in the discussion.
